WASHINGTON D.C.

Our trips to our nation’s capital were among Jackson’s favorite trips, and it’s not surprising as we visited virtually every monument and place of note, including the Supreme Court, the Capitol, National Archives (with a special treat to see Washington’s original handwritten inaugural address), WW I Memorial, WW II Memorial, Vietnam Memorial, the Korean Memorial, the Jefferson, Lincoln, Washington, JFK  and FDR Memorials, the U.S. Marine Corps War Memorial (Iwo Jima), the U.S. Navy Memorial, the Library of Congress, the National Air and Space Museum, Museum of Natural History, the Pentagon, the Holocaust Memorial Museum, the Martin Luther King Memorial, and to top it all off a visit to the White House for the annual Easter Egg Roll.  The lessons of history from trips to our Nation’s Capital will stay with our family for a lifetime.
