Our trip to North Carolina took an unexpected turn, leading us to an unforgettable adventure.  A local resident named Senator Thom Tillis tipped us off about the US National Whitewater Center, and he couldn't have been insightful.  Navigating through the rapids provided quite an adrenaline rush as we were caught up in the excitement and seeming danger of this adventurous sport—a place where Olympic athletes are trained. The fantastic zip lines added extra thrills to our day. In Charlotte, the NASCAR Hall of Fame became a memorable stop, offering a deep dive into the culture of NASCAR, a quintessential part of Americana.  Another highlight was our visit to the Billy Graham Center, serving as both the birthplace of Billy Graham and a museum dedicated to his life and legacy.
