Scott Baugh Leads in California’s 47th District as Election Day Approaches

Scott Baugh has surged ahead in the race for California’s 47th Congressional District, now leading Democrat Dave Min by three points, according to the latest poll from WPA Intelligence. Despite being outspent by more than $7 million by his opponent’s campaign, Baugh’s message has resonated strongly with voters, putting him in the lead at 43% to Min’s 40%.

Baugh’s recent growth is driven by increased support across key demographics:

  • He has gained significant ground among Independents (+7%) and Democrats (+6%) since September.
  • He holds a commanding lead among Hispanic voters (45%-31%) and white voters (47%-37%).
  • Among men, Baugh leads by 7 points, and he is nearly tied with Min among women, trailing by just two points.

Baugh’s success is particularly notable given the Democratic Party’s heavy spending in the district. As Election Day nears, Baugh’s momentum and the strong support he’s earned across a broad range of voters position him well for a decisive victory in November.
