Newport Beach, CA – Today, Scott Baugh (CA-47) announced he has received more key local endorsements. Endorsing Baugh for Congress are Orange County Supervisor and Chairman of the Board, Don Wagner; Irvine City Council Member Mike Carroll; Laguna Niguel Mayor Janine Heft, Mayor Pro Tempore Dave Wheeler, Councilmembers Don Caskey and Joshua Sweeney; Costa Mesa Councilmember Don Harper; Seal Beach Councilmember Tom Moore, and newly elected Seal Beach City Councilmembers Lisa Landrau and Nathan Steele.

“Scott Baugh will be a very effective voice in Congress for Orange County and for common-sense policies to strengthen our economy, reduce debt and wasteful spending and protect our nation’s borders and security,” said Supervisor Wagner.

Irvine City Councilman Mike Carroll added: “I cannot think of anyone who is more dedicated to our community or better prepared to serve. Scott Baugh is the best choice for Irvine and for the 47th District.”

The 47th Congressional District will be an open Congressional District with incumbent Katie Porter announcing her intention to run for the U.S. Senate. Scott has also served as Chairman of the Gang Reduction Intervention Partnership which works with law enforcement throughout the county to keep kids out of gangs. He is a trustee at Pacifica Christian High School of Orange County. Scott and his wife Wendy live in Huntington Beach. He has lived in the district for over 30 years.
