Defund The Police Supporter Katie Porter Calls Irvine Police Department A “Disgrace” in Leaked Text

IRVINE, CA – In recently obtained texts, Congresswoman Katie Porter calls the Irvine Police Department a “disgrace” and vows to “never trust them again.”

“It’s irresponsible and inappropriate for Katie Porter to call the police department presiding over the safest city in America for 15 consecutive years a disgrace,” said Scott Baugh, her opponent for California’s 47th Congressional District. “Only a progressive, defund the police advocate would call the Irvine Police Department a disgrace. Katie Porter’s true colors are shining through.”

According to a story reported today by Fox News:

“California Democrat Rep. Katie Porter trashed the Irvine Police Department after they arrested the man she lives with for allegedly assaulting a protester at her town hall event last year.”

“Your police department is a disgrace,” Porter told Irvine Mayor Farrah Khan in text messages from the time exclusively obtained by Fox News Digital. “I will never trust them again,” Porter also said as Khan offered to speak with the congresswoman on the phone about the situation.”
